Hey guys! Today I Am going to show you how to make those really cool Instagram puzzles using only free apps from Canva and Photo Grid. Let’s ROCK your GRAM!
Lets get started!
First we need to create a custom Canva template. For a square puzzle, use the dimensions of 3240 x 3240 pixels. This will give you a puzzle that includes 9 squares.
For a tall puzzle. use the dimensions of 3240 x 4320. This will give you a puzzle that includes 12 squares.
For a short puzzle, you can use 3240 x 1080. This will give you a puzzle that includes 3 squares.
Next add a background image. I created this one in Adobe Spark Post, however, you can use Canva, PicMonkey or any other graphics app.Think about your brand and what you could add to enhance this space. I also added a grey box over the graphic to add some interest.
Next, you will want to add your photos and some text. Be sure to use your brand fonts, colors and style. Remember to pick only a few fonts. Keep it simple and on brand. Lastly, keep it light and fun. Play around with your design and remember there isn’t a right way to do this
Now that your graphic is made open up your grid app. I used Photo Grid on my iPhone, however, there are several apps that work. For this image I wanted a 3x4 Grid, which creates 12 photos for Instagram. After the photos have been created you simply click to upload to Instagram starting with one working your way through 12.
I would wait to add captions and hashtags until you have all the photos uploaded.
That’s it! Now you have a cool look to your Instagram Grid. Remember, you will need to add three photos at time to keep your grid in tact. I would also only use it occasionally as your followers may get overwhelmed. Here is a link to a Puzzle Grid Canva Template to get you started.
