Every Spring I make my annual pilgrimage to photograph the beautiful Magnolia trees in Lawrence. It's a photographers dream. The beautiful pink blooms signal that the long Winter is over and we can all bask in the beautiful April light.
I admit I was not prepared and did not have my Nikon with me. These images were taken with my iPhone 8s using the portrait mode. I love the shallow depth of field that can be captured with this setting. While it is not as great as my D800 with my 50mm, it is pretty good. As it is often said, the best camera is the one you have with you. Do you have any Spring rights of passage? Leave a comment, I would love to hear about your Spring rituals.
This space is all about photography. Sessions, gear, my photo journeys and me living my best photog life.
